Coir pith or Coco peat is a multi-purpose growing media made from coconut husks. It is a homogeneous, naturally spongy material composed of capillary micro-sponges and short fibres.
Organic and biodegradable growing medium.
Can retain about 7–8 times its own volume in water.
Coarser particles and fibres improve air-filled porosity.
Easy to re-wet without requiring a wetting agent.
